ALF
is an object-oriented, 32-bit application developed with Borland’s Delphi
compiler (Version 5.0) for the 32-bit Windows operating environment.
|
|
|
Database engine |
The
database underlying ALF is an industrial strength SQL-server designed for
high speed and concurrent use by multiple users.
Either MS SQL Server or Sybase SQL Anywhere is available to serve as
ALF's database back-end.
|
|
|
Assembly engine |
ALF
assembles documents using Microsoft’s automation
(ActiveX) technology. Generated
documents are automatically profiled within ALF and saved to a shared
network drive.
|
|
|
Document scripting |
ALF
Script allows for the complete definition of document assembly
logic from within the body of your own precedent documents, using ALF merge
codes and the familiar and powerful formatting capabilities already built in
to your word processor.

|
Web reports |
Web
reports generated in ALF / Explorer use
“generic” HTML to allow for viewing from within ALF, or with MS
Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.
Reports may be forwarded by e-mail or published to an intranet (or
extranet). Web server software
is not required to use Explorer.
